Hi Mumsnet,

I am an NZ expat and have been living in London for 5 years and have just found out we are expecting our first baby due late November. I would love to hear your experiences for the following hospitals!

St Thomas'
Chelsea & Westminster
University College Hospital

Thanks so much and look forward to hearing your stories!

Congratulations Smile
I'm a kiwi in London too and am due my first baby in August at C&W.
Obviously haven't had the baby yet so no experience to share unfortunately but I'll be keen to see reposes on this too.

I've been for two scans at the hospital and found them good and efficient. Have had midwife appointments at a more local GP surgery which is convenient.

Have generally heard good things about the care. A friend who's a paediatrician said the neonatal dept is excellent (hopefully won't need it!). Though, apparently as with all hospitals, the ward afterwards is not great. Shared rooms, busy midwives etc.

I’m at St Thomas’. Very complicated twin pregnancy and they have been absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I had two babies at Tommies. They were absolutely amazing, I couldn't fault them. Both born in the home from home and my partner stayed over with us in the room they were born in afterwards. All the staff were incredible. When they were born they looked out the window and checked the time of birth on Big Ben!
