Postpartum Period

So I had my DS on the 13th of February and I had my postpartum bleed for 6 weeks, I then stopped bleeding for 5 days and now I've started bleeding again (assuming this is my first actual period) but I'm on day 9 now and still quite heavy.
Has anyone else experienced something similar and is it normal?

Are you breastfeeding? That can influence how quickly your period returns. I didn't have one for 18 months.

@Cornishmumofone nope not breastfeeding, I'm really not sure whether it's a follow on of the post partum bleed or whether it is actually a period, but before pregnancy my period lasted 5 days. I did expect the first one to last longer but 9 days and still heavy? Not sure

Get checked incase there is infection
