Tightenings and contractions

Hi,
I've been having continuous tightenings for the past few days, am term plus 6. I was induced with DC1 and didn't have any of this so am wondering if tightenings eventually turn into contractions? Also feel pretty nauseous the last few days too x

They may well do, sounds like it should start soon! Try to stay as relaxed as possible and keep moving/on your feet/upright when you can to encourage the babies head to rest on your cervix and encourage dilation along. The tightenings will get noticeably stronger/more intense when you are in labour, good luck!

Thank you. I've got that dull, period type ache so keeping fingers crossed!

Sounds like it is the start of things. Try to distract yourself, potter at home as usual, snuggle up and watch a funny film, get the oxytocin high, your body will follow. Good luck 💚
