I'm due in 3 days and wondered if any other mums are due around the same time Smile! Staying positive despite all that's happening! Xx

Good luck, may not be exactly as you originally planned but will still be super special and you’ll end up with a lovely bundleFlowers.

JemHumps10 · 30/03/2020 10:30

Awww thank you! Can't wait but this is my first one and I don't feel like he's coming anytime soon... x

Might feel like that but he will definitely make an appearance!

Ajlaisy · 30/03/2020 12:30

I'm due In 4 days, I'm so gutted I can't have both my birthing partners, fingers crossed they will still allow me to have the 1 by Friday! But other than that it's my first and I'm super excited to meet her and not as nervous as I thought I'd be! I'm more nervous about having a sweep on Friday, good luck with yours!!

JemHumps10 · 30/03/2020 15:03

I'm exactly the same, this is my first baby aswell and I am also gutted about not being able to have 2 birthing partners but at least we can still have 1! Think I'm just as nervous about my sweep on Thursday too 🤣!
Have you had any signs?? I've had nothing other than a few stomach tightenings every now and then... x

Am overdue, 41 weeks tomorrow. Feeling depressed now cos am beyond exhausted.

JemHumps10 · 30/03/2020 23:39

Ah no!! Have you had any sweeps? Will they induce you?

OP posts:
Ajlaisy · 31/03/2020 07:36

@JemHumps10 nope I've had no signs other than my stomach tightens when I run up and downstairs which takes my breath away but think that's something to do with me being unfit 😂 everyone has been telling me a sweep isn't that bad it's like 4/10 pain and its more uncomfortable than anything but I'm such a wimp ill probably cry!!

JemHumps10 · 31/03/2020 08:41

Ah I'm exactly the same I haven't had any pains only tightening... got a feeling I could be going well over my due date aswell 😔! Had the most uncomfortable night though my hips are so painful where I lay on my side just want the baby out now but it doesn't even feel low enough yet 😞 x

@JemHumps10, i asked for a sweep yesterday when I saw the midwife but cos I was not yet 41 weeks (am 41 weeks today), she said she couldn't offer it. She booked me one for tomorrow.

Gabrielac · 31/03/2020 12:44

Hi all,
I'm due on next Thursday, first baby and excited and nervous at the same time, I don't know what to expect. Apart from very strong Braxton Hicks there is no signs of baby wanting to come out. Same here hips hurt, unable to sleep well at night, constantly getting up to pee. I would like to have a water birth with gas and air but I'm afraid baby will need to be induced if doesn't want to come out in time... For one single thing I am glad that there is this virus around is that all the relatives and families will stay at home and I can actually have quality time with my baby and husband. Smile

AmputatedSoul · 31/03/2020 12:54

I'm being induced on the 15th with my 2nd.
Honestly don't think I'll make it that far though and hoping I'm right as I'll have to be induced on my own which isn't what I wanted.

I'm not fussed about not having visitors at the hospital as I think it'll be a lot calmer and more relaxed on the wards without the men there!! From experience they tend to get in the way and are very demanding of the midwives, more so than the actual patients!

I'm more annoyed that my maternity leave isn't what I wanted it to be. I was looking forward to DD going to school, DH back at work and lovely alone time with me and baby but that isn't going to happen now Sad

Hope all of your births go well and as much to plan as they can do.

In the hospital right now! Early labour but seems to have stalled... waters broke last night though so will have to be induced if it doesn't continue by itself!

Jessikka · 31/03/2020 13:23

Due in 2 weeks :) feeling ok; so long as dad can come in with me. If that changes, I will definitely be heartbroken and can see myself trying to go home again and do it ancestor style lol!

JemHumps10 · 31/03/2020 16:21

Ah good luck! At least you've had some movement, how exciting! I'm trying everything I can to bring this labour on naturally just doesn't seem to be happening... 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Haha, well after being convinced first time round that sex did it, I think it may have set things off again. DTD Sunday night, started losing plug/having show Monday day and then waters broke Monday evening. So if you fancy it...!

Contractions have started up again now, stronger but quite far apart. I thought second births were meant to be speedy?! Confused

Bug8 · 31/03/2020 17:32

@user1464279374, I thought second births should be speedy too. Am overdue and it's my second. Am 42 weeks today but have been off sex really, every time I had sex, I got thrush, have suffered for months really, was treated but was uncomfortable to have it all the time and have to ask for treatment almost every week. I have tried other natural ways to bring on labour but failed, now wondering whether to just try sex cos that's the only thing I didn't try. I had a bloody show on Sunday night but nothing after that, been booked to be induced on Sunday. Today, I think am having bloody show again but nothing else, honestly, don't understand my body at all.

Bug8 · 31/03/2020 17:34

@user1464279374, I hope things go well for u, that little one will be here soon. Good luck Smile

user1464279374 · 31/03/2020 19:47

@Bug8 give it a go if you feel up to it!! And thank you. Contractions were ramping up, then the hospital changed their policy and my husband had to leave (again) and now they've stopped. He wasn't doing an awful lot to help (!) but maybe subconsciously I relax into it a bit when he's here! Very frustrating!

ZigZagZ · 01/04/2020 16:53

Hello all!

Congratulations on all your due babies! I am due in 6 weeks, It is my first baby and I am actually feeling ok about the labour and all. If anything I’m worried about the safety of giving birth in the hospital. Any of you worried that you may get covid while at the hospital? I’m quite anxious over this 😬

bellanatashagreen · 01/04/2020 17:45

Due 1 week tomorrow! 9th 😬 all signs except contractions. Very frustrating! I'm ready now! 😂💆🏼‍♀️

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 02/04/2020 07:00

I’m due on Saturday. Induction booked for Monday due to ivf. First baby. No signs of him coming yet. Had a sweep on Monday and cervix was less than favourable. Guess he’s just comfy in there.

JemHumps10 · 02/04/2020 22:28

Due date today and I've just had my sweep and my cervix was still closed and really high 😞 looks like my baby won't be coming out anytime soon either! Good luck ladies x
