Stinging sensation when wee after C-section

Hi,

I had an emergency C-section two weeks ago, last week it started burning when I wee so the doctors gave me cefuroxime antibiotics after checking my urine (he said wasn't sure about whether the blood was because of period or I had blood in my urine),so I nearly finished it now but the stinging sensation is still there. I wonder if it's from the constant changing of pads or its a thrush. When I drink plenty of fluids it gets better. I am breastfeeding and I need to remember to drink a lot but when I don't for a few hours it stings. I think the stinging is near where the catheter was but I didn't have that feeling after it was removed it started last week. I don't bleed a lot and I can wear smaller pads, I am really not sure what is causing it.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

I had this after a section and there was a fair amount of blood in my wee. TMI sorry but there were like floaty tissue bits in it. I mentioned to MW who told.me.to.book an appointment with doctor but by the time the appointment came round it had rectified itself, so about two/three weeks after the birth. I assume the surgery or the catheter had done a bit of damage but 15 months on no issues. Hopefully you're sorted now.
