Breech baby at 30 weeks, how likely is it that he'll turn now?

Hi, I need advice/help/encouragement from anyone and everyone! I'm 30 weeks pregnant with #2 and he's breech at the moment. How likely is it that he'll turn to cephalic position?

Also has anyone had a vaginal breech birth? How was it and did you have resistance from midwives/docs who wanted you to have a CSection?

Probably worrying unecessarily but have heard some alarming things over the past few days!

Don't worry, there is plenty of time for your ds to turn

My ds (also my 2nd) was breech and turned himself at 37/38 weeks. My midwife or doctor didn't seem bothered at all and we never even discussed a cs tbh.

I was breech up to my 34th wk. Don't worry too much. I had a dodgy tum for couple of days where baby turned i'm pg with number two. X

Thanks! I feel much better now. Read a lot of stuff recently that freaked me out a bit! My midwife didn't seem to be too helpful either.

There's still plenty of time.

Dd was breech until around 36wks, then transverse for a week, and finally head-down.

I would say there is time. 10 weeks is quite a while. Do 15 minutes on your hands and knees four times a day and see what happens.

There is an excellent mumsnet thread that would help - called Breech watch, you will get some good advice from there. I have been on it for the past 3 weeks.

loads of time yet, don't worry! In our may 07 group 12 of us were breech at 32 weeks. All turned in time for delivery. Good Luck!

my first DD was breech until 38+6 when she finally turned (even had successful ECV at 37wks, but she turned breech again...) and was born at 39+4 weighing 8lb8.5oz, so they can & do turn late, even bigger babies. You've plenty of time yet.

I'm very happy now! Thank you all and Alfie72 I'll check out the other thread you mentioned.

I was determined to be more in control this time and feel like I'm listening to silly midwives telling me rubbish again. Grrrrrr!

Popodopalis, serously keep an open mind and try not to listen to other people too much but trust your instincts. My LO has been breech for 10 weeks now and people are telling me to do this and that but at the end of the day, I have had to go with the flow, sometimes control is taken out of your hands. All the best. Check out the thread for sure- it's really helpful !!
