First baby - early or late?

Was your first baby early or late? Smile
Or perhaps born bang on their due date x

My original due date was 20/04/20 based on LMP but dating scan changed it to 16/04/20. I'd love it if he came early but have a feeling he'll be late and I'll end up accepting an induction!

First: on due date
Second: 8 days early
Third: 7 days late

2 days early.
Unfortunately no telling when babies will come. I never went overdue so thankfully never had that frustration.
My mum's first was 3 weeks early, my sister 2 weeks late.

First was a week late, second was a week early. They come when they're good and ready :-)

SparkleUK · 12/03/2020 11:58

Late by a week and one day 😊

Set himself off on the day of induction so we didn't need one in the end

theclangersbigplan · 12/03/2020 12:03

To add also: the late one was the one I was most sure of all the dates as I tested early and then had two scans close together - one before and one after the heartbeat was detected. I was miffed when I went overdue, to say the least!

RunningWild82 · 12/03/2020 12:23

I had my first a couple of weeks ago - she was 8 weeks early.

Skylucy · 12/03/2020 12:25

First: 7 days late
Second: 13 days late.

Both came naturally, when they were ready! You are perfectly within your rights to refuse instruction if you and baby are thriving.

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 12/03/2020 12:25

DD 4 days late
DS 2 days early

m4rdybum · 12/03/2020 13:04

3 days late and kicked off naturally.

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 12/03/2020 13:05

Went into labour at 38+4 with dc1 and 39 weeks exactly with dc2. I also have shorter cycles than average (25-26 days) and have been told by more than one hcp, that the two things are linked. Haven't got around to looking for studies to confirm though.

concernedforthefuture · 12/03/2020 13:06

First: 13 days late (induced at T+12)

Yesterdayforgotten · 15/03/2020 21:31
