Braxton hicks . . . with lower back pain

Did anyone have Braxton hicks that hurt a little with lower back pain that didn't turn into labour?

I'm currently 38+5 with DS2 & was woken up at 6am this morning by tightening of my stomach which hurt a little - mostly uncomfortable, but also back pain. They disappeared a little this afternoon but have been back for a while now, also accompanied by upper leg pain. I've never had back pain WITH BH in either pregnancy except from after my waters broke with DS1 & the BH were obviously contractions that were mild (not that they stayed that way - I wish!) which then progressed into established labour.

I had a MW appointment this afternoon so mentioned it to her & she advised that I keep a very close eye on it & possibly start timing as it can all ramp up out of nowhere, especially as it's not my first & because I'm booked in for a section on Monday due to previous birth complications!

Basically I'm looking for some reassurance that this is nothing & baby will stay put til Monday haha!! But if your story is the opposite of that then I'd still love to hear. I love a good birth story anyway!

I'm 37+2 and I'm getting that at the minute. Tightnings in the front but not strong enough for any real timing pattern but also the back pain. Hopefully your baby will stay put but I'm wanting mine to come now lol

@tinatsarina I hope yours turns into full labour in that case! The waiting & not knowing if this is it is horrible when you've had enough & just want baby to arrive. If we didn't have such a great plan in place for Monday then I'd want this to be it too.

What baby is this for you? Keep me updated on your progress/lack of, I'm intrigued!

This is my second and my first came at 38 weeks so I'm hoping this one won't be to long in there. Things seem to have quietened down for me :(

I take it nothing happened last night then? Did everything completely stop? Nothing at all happened with me. The pains disappeared but I still managed to have an awful night's sleep!
