Can lochia stop after a week?

Just that, really?! Mine appears to have stopped after just a week. The midwife keeps assuring me that it will start up again but there’s no sign (now day 12). Could it be finished this early? I had an ELCS if that makes any difference but bled on and off for 3 weeks after previous EMCS.

Mine stopped after about a week. It started up again 2-3 weeks later.
I also had a c section.

I had an emcs and stopped after a couple of days. Came back with a vengeance a couple of weeks later. I think that's normal.

Thank you - that’s good to know. Had gone down to pantyliners but midwife was adamant at some point there would be a gush....

Yes. Mine was 5 days after my ELCS!

I was done by 10 days following both births, and it was just pinky yellow discharge by then anyway.

Did you have blood loss or a pph during labour? If so then there isn’t much in the way of bleeding afterwards unless you hemorage again - I stopped heavily bleeding in days and just spotted after that.
