How long did early/latent labour last for you?

I'm pregnant with my first and 40+3 today and my cervix is 2-3cm dilated, dr can feel baby's head and did a stretch and sweep. I've felt some cramping since the stretch and sweep but prior to that I hadn't felt anything so was quite surprised to be 2cm already.

Anyway, how long did your early/latent labour last? Is it likely to be really slow for me to dilate as I haven't felt anything so think the contractions must be either really spaced out or really weak? I've got an induction booked for next Friday at 41+2 but I'm really hoping to go naturally before then!

I had a sweep at 37 weeks and was 1cm in the morning, a bishops score of six? (Induction was planned for the Friday of the week this was a Tuesday).
Craps and bloody show for the rest of the day.
By 11pm they were so intense we went to maternity assessment ward, 7cm when eventually seen at 1am and she arrived at 7am!

This was my 2nd though and her head had been low for weeks, and I was had been high risk of premature labour due to cervix issues throughout pregnancy

10 days. One of the risks of streach and sweeps is latent labour. With DS2 I declined sweeps because I didn't want the latent labour again

Cramps not craps 🙈🙈😂

2.5 days, although active labour was then only 4 hours

Namechanger I have actually been crapping a lot 😂

So seems there's a lot of variety! Fingers crossed it happens quickly for me - don't fancy being crampy until Friday.

@Kinsters haha that’s a good sign as well 🙈😂😂

It was quicker with each baby. Dc1 was over 3 weeks and Dc5 was 4.5 hours.
