DS is two weeks old. Was a straight forward delivery. A few stitches for vaginal tears nothing major. No epistomy or tearing. Everytime I look at my stomach I see it is pretty much back to what it was but a bit flabbier (Second baby)

How long was it before everyone started to exercise. I'm not a gym a holic. Far from it. If the concensus is to wait 6 weeks then that is what i'll do.

I gave birth a week ago tomorrow and the physiotherapist at the hospital gave me some tummy exercises and said I could start pilates after 3 weeks if I feel up to it. She said that would help get rid of the bulge.

DD is two weeks old too and I am on my first day of non-maternity clothes

atm I'm concentrating on pelvic floors and getting out of the house for a walk every day - reckon it's too soon for my brain to cope with anything else, let alone my body...

I was back doing aerobic exercise 10-14 days after babies 1 and 2. Later with baby 3, mostly I didn't have the opportunity so soon.

Youngest is now 3yo, and I can't see I've harmed myself. I never stopped aerobic exercise thru the whole pregancies, maybe that's why it was ok for me. I think the main risk is still having wobbly ligaments.
