Period post childbirth - When?

I'm five weeks post birth today and I'm pretty sure I started my period yesterday. The bleeding from the birth was just about gone and then suddenly I got lots of fresh new blood (sorry tmi) but no pain, no fever, no bad smell... Could it just be my period and should I thank my lucky stars DH pulled out last week? LOL

My friend went straight back into periods the month after giving birth so its possible. I didn't have a period until a year after I stopped breastfeeding so its just different for different people.

Mine came back about 3 months after birth AND I was exc bf too!

my ds in nearly 10 mo and they only just came back!

Mine didn't come back for 19 months this time I think because I'm still breastfeeding at night

I had one by 6 weeks .

I got a period after about 10 weeks, and I was 100 per cent breastfeeding my son. It varies so much between women though.

Hi Diva- same here- got new blood at 5 weeks after it had stopped. So no idea if period or not!! x
