Hey everyone,

Had a section xmas day have been in agony with trapped wind ever since.
Any hints or tips? It’s so painful especially when paired with the cut.

Hi there! This is my first ever response after months of lurking. First off, congratulations! I had a c section in November. Ask for Laxido (Powdered laxative drink) from your doctor or chemist and drink it twice a day. The painkillers they give you for the operation cause constipation so you may well be constipated and any straining before your 6-8 week checkup could split open your scar. That's what's causing the wind! Good luck. x

I had a c section in October and on day 2 was in agony with trapped wind! Had one glass of peppermint tea and not long after passed so much gas I probably could've inflated a hot air balloon! Blush

Try and be as active as possible, and Rennie Deflatine works quite well too!

Peppermint tea didn't work for me. Nothing did. Only the laxative and a vowel movement. But yes, get up and walk around your house for a few minutes at a time. All that sitting/lying down compresses your digestive system. Wishing you good farts! x

@Nstarr@Crashblitz

Thanks so so much, I’m gonna try all of these methods as I’m feeling that bad!

Small price to pay for my DD though 💘
