Wishful thinking - due date pelvic pressure

Hello!

I'm totally wishful thinking and I'm fully aware that only about 4% of babies are born on their due date... buuuttttt I have mega pressure down below today, could it maybe be a sign of things moving soon? The little lady has been engaged since week 28 but I have felt her move a lot lower today/I'm hoping she's getting into position and probably imagining it 😂

Did anybody else start with pelvic and bum pressure? Like feels like I need to poo?

Thank you! X

Hi OP. FTM here so no good advice, but I’ve been feeling like this since last Thursday (now 36+4) and have been in what I have since discovered is prodromal labour ever since. Real feeling of pressure down below, both vagina and rectum! Also very irregular and mild (but still painful) contractions almost constantly - waking me in the night.

I’m hoping my kid is about to make an appearance, but from what I’ve read it can be anything from a few days to a few weeks of this before it moves to active labour! Like you, I really feel like this baby wants out soon, but I suspect that may also be wishful thinking…

Best of luck, keep us posted, I’m very interested being in a similar situation myself! When are you due?

Ah thank you for your reply! I've never heard of prodromal labour...I will have a google. I'm due today, I'm getting Braxton hicks but not as regular as you are, that must be very exciting! It can't be too long for you now! I don't think I felt anything at your stage Smile

I will keep you posted with any progress, however I feel like she's going to be stubborn like her mumma and keep me waiting... x

I get the feeling my boy will be the same! Best of luck, hope your LO arrives soon!
