Plug or waters?

Not sure as previous experience was different- with DC1 I had a bloody show that went straight into the loo bowl and then my waters were broken in hospital.

Am 40+4. I woke at midnight with a lot of wetness but it seems to have been a bit gel-like, not purely liquid. Clear, odourless. Woke again at half five and more fluid came out, then found mucus when I wiped so think I’ve lost at least part of the plug. Came downstairs at 8 to have again clear fluid running down my leg (sorry TMI!). Waters? Watery plug lost in bits?

4cm, nearly at the hospital, would kill someone for gas and air. Hopefully will meet baby soon!

Horrific day. Got to 6, then to 10cm quite quickly. Pushed for 2hs and finally had failed ventouse then successful forceps delivery. I need therapy now. 3rd degree tear, lost 1.8L of blood... baby weighs 4.85kg!!

BUT... he’s here. He’s gorgeous. It’s all over!

Thanks! Yeah, it was all a bit of a disaster - but I got my VBAC, and a spare kilo or so of newborn to squidge... Chunky monkey has been asleep since 2am, so am ready for an epic feed when he finally wakes!
