Planned C Section Nerves

I have my planned c section tomorrow and where I've felt absolutely fine about it, it's now hitting me and I'm getting extremely nervous, not just about the procedure but also the fact I will be a mother for the first time come tomorrow. I'm full of dread and pure excitement at the same time.
Just some positive c section stories would be highly appreciated right now to keep my spirits up.

I had mine last Thursday, having only known about it 6 days before. I’m now sitting here cuddling a 3-day old.

The csection was fine - slightly terrifying going in for major surgery, and got delayed for a few hours for more emergency cases (fair enough really), but the anaesthetist team were very lovely and patient and talked me through everything and how it would feel, and the obstetric surgeon kept me informed of what was happening as she went along (obviously i couldn’t see, there was a screen in between us.

Top advice (gleaned from MN in advance) - trapped wind is a problem after, so take dried fruit for eating afterwards (apricots, figs etc) and peppermint tea and have loads. If you’re low risk you’ll be sent home in 24 hours. The second day (at home) was very painful for me, but today (day 3) is massively better, so keep up with the paracetamol and ibuprofen as often as advised and it does improve quickly. Try really hard not to do anything for a couple of days, apparently overreaching can set back recovery a lot.

Hope yours goes well - mine was x1000000 better than my disastrous first “natural” birth and i’m extremely grateful for it.

@RubaiyatOfAnyone I have a box of peppermint tea for the wind I was prewarmed by my midwife. Thankyou for the tips & reassurance. Enjoy your new bundle of joy! Can't wait to be on the other side now.
