My due date is tomorrow and Basically I was awake a lot last night with back pain... had it a bit on and off today and now its back tonight and has been the last 3-4 hours. It's a fairly constant dull ache which is intermittently getting worse before settling to a dull ache again. Nothing too painful, more discomfort which will occasionally creep around to the front of the bump, but not low down, more on the sides.
Could this be the beginnings of labour?? Any experiences appreciated x

Early labour felt like period pains to me and lower back ache. Mine was back to back. Ring the maternity ward, no harm in getting checked over x

Yes it could, but if it's not established labour there's not much else to do other than make sure your bag is packed and GET SOME SLEEP!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Feel a bit silly calling them just yet as my pain isnt too bad, but I'll give them a bell if it continues! X

Don't call them-until you are getting regular contractions as they won't have you in

Take some paracetamol and get to bed, early labour can be anything from a couple of hours to a couple of days, preserve your strength x
