I know there is no way to answer this but any words of wisdom still gratefully received!!

I am 38+5 and the baby has been fully engaged for at least a week (could be longer but that's when my last appt was).

I'm feeling awful pressure on my bladder in particular over the last 2-3 days.

Does anyone have any thoughts from their own experiences as to how long from this engaged heavy pelvic-pressure stage to labour starting??

Thanks so much 😊

Hello,
I can only speak from my own experience but I was engaged around the same time but gave birth 3 days after my due date. I had the feeling of pressure the day before some pains started.

It is so hard to tell but I empathise with your situation as I was on the internet constantly to try and predict when my labour would start as I was so fed up and just wanted to meet my baby!

Good luck with it all and hope your not waiting around too long to meet your little one Grin

It's so tricky @LisaS88 you are totally right!!! Thank you though, I really appreciate your perspective and experiences x

How's it going @agteacht - any sign of baby yet? I'm 39 weeks today and desperate to get a move on! (Not least because they will endive me at 40 weeks exactly if not, as baby is big)

Hi @zaffa not a sniff! Am 39w tomorrow so we are almost due date twins. How are you feeling?

I'm trying everything to speed this process up! Except spicy food as I get terrible heart burn Sad tomorrow I'm planning an extra long walk to see if that speeds anything along. How about you?

@zaffa haven't tried anything yet but my friend gave me some raspberry leaf tea so that might be tomorrow! Has your midwife said if the baby is engaged?
I have a scan tomorrow, not really sure why but think it's standard in my hospital for 39w. Will see what that tells us!
