Sweep!!

39 weeks today and had my first sweep.. I've bled my show and had cramp like pains all day but they've now subsided , they said I'm 2-3cm dilated. I'm on the ball and eating my pineapple lol ! Is there any chance this could be it or is that all I'm getting until my next ? Any advice or experience be useful

Sorry to say, I had 3, each more "vigorous" than the last. None worked!

My second worked but jesus she went to town on it, I did beg her to because it was getting ridiculously close to Christmas and he wasn't ready at all. I had it during the day, lost my plug and then woke up in labour the next day.

Sorry, I had the same experience as you and was still 2-3cm dilated with bulging waters a week later when they induced me!

Here's hoping my second one on Tuesday is a bit more favourable then lol 🤞🏼
