Another am I in labour post - sorry!

Hi all, might get recognised here for posting in the pregnancy board but thought I'd make a new one here to summarise!

I'm 37+5, ftm. I lost my mucous plug Tuesday evening through to Wednesday morning, in a few huge blobs (sorry 🤢) and then had a huge increase in really watery discharge. This has continued overnight and until now. I can see the discharge in my underwear, but it's also surrounded by a wet/damp area. I can't identify a smell and I haven't noticed that it's any colour.

I'm having pains in my lower back and bump, and I think I'm having tightening type feelings over bump. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish what could be baby shifting her bum and a tightening.

I feel horrifically naive, could this be early labour? Or is it just part of the last few weeks of pregnancy?

I had this for a few days before labour.

Good luck!

I think if you can't distinguish between baby moving and a 'tightening' you're likely to be quite a long way from established labour. I'd try to keep busy and mobile and hope for the best. Good luck.

@FriedasCarLoad eek maybe a good sign then!

@KatnissMellark I'm still working and carrying on as usual so I'm keeping as active as possible! Smile

So I'm having pains that start in my lower back and move to my lower bump. They ease off but are coming and going. They're not so bad that I have to stop what I'm doing - had to rush my dog to the vets this morning and didn't notice any because my mind was elsewhere. We're home now and the pains have started up again.

Underwear has been damp all night and through today again. So confused! Should the whole bump harden during the pains if it's a contraction? Or just some of it?

Certainly sounds like you could be on your way. Why not phone your midwife for advice ? Good luck and keep us posted.

Andersonx3 · 15/11/2019 09:58

@VictoriaBun I called yesterday, mostly regarding the damp underwear, I contacted my GP surgery as my midwife works there Thursdays. She didn't seem concerned and said if I'm worried to call MAU. This has been going on since Wednesday after losing my plug Tuesday night. I feel so naive!!

Your plug can regrow.

Mummyme87 · 15/11/2019 17:10

Could be but sounds very early. Could be on and off like this for a few weeks or have a baby tonight. It’s unpredictable. Don’t read too much into it
