Is labour coming after my sweep?

I had a sweep yesterday at 2pm, she said I was 2cm dilated and also 2cm thick?? when I got home around an hour later I started getting a mild constant back ache. I then got in the shower and when I got out the shower I noticed that I had a dark brown discharge with little tiny bits of jelly substance in it .. ever since last night I have been going the toilet , it’s little bits of what looks like old blood but it’s not dark brown anymore it’s more like a light brown but very light .. I’m guessing this is from the sweep. The back ache hasn’t went away atall and is slightly worse today but manageable I’m not in pain, but I do handle pain pretty well but it’s a constant ache in my lower back, just wondering if this sounds like it could be the start of things if you have had a similar experience or what not? I’m 39+1 today 🙈💕

Sounds like it could be the start of something. I would (and did) do everything possible to get labour going - sex, long walks, scrub the floors....

It worked for me and I went into labour in the early hours of next day. I would try and help your body along as it sounds like it’s gearing up for labour! Good luck

Meant to say that was after my second sweep and yes I did have backache and some period type pains.
