2nd child, but first came at 41 weeks waters broke out of nowhere and I was straight into active labour. So a bit more confused about what's happening this time. 37 weeks, I went into hospital yesterday morning with reduced movements and lots of tightenings across my stomach (no pain.) baby all fine though I was still struggling to feel them and the tightness was getting stronger and more painful. Discharged after an hour and told to come back if anything progresses or I still can't feel movements. Continued to have tightenings across the top of my stomach, a warm bath helped with this and I started to feel baby moving. For about 4 hours yesterday evening I was having what felt like weak contractions lower down, lasting about 30 seconds every 5 mins. These stopped and I went to bed. Managed to sleep until 2.30 and I've been up since then bouncing on my ball. Can't feel much happening apart from pelvis pressure. Any ideas?

I'm meant to be working Monday- Wednesday this week (last week) I think I might just do a half day today and take the rest as holiday if they'll let me. Also meant to be staying with a relative Thursday- Friday 1 hour away. Don't know whether to cancel now or wait and see? DH was meant to be away with work this week but he phoned up yesterday and asked to stay local in case.

Keep me company! TIA

Yes that's why I thought I might just go do a half day and hope I can come home and rest. Luckily I'm nearly finished all the work I needed to do so hoping employees will be reasonable!

Ah that's so lovely, I'm so looking forward to getting back to that! Baby cuddles!

Is baby moving lots?

bumpysleighridejack · 28/10/2019 04:32

I felt them moving at 3, gone quiet now but I'll get in the bath and check again when everyone else is up

Good luck. It could well be. I am glad that your DH can work locally.

Thanks Brenna! Yes I just said I don't know if it will be this week or not I'd just rather he wasn't 2/3 hours away, especially as I have no one else to get me to hospital!

My DD came early at 35 weeks. Spontaneous labour. My DH was due back at work that day after the Christmas holidays but thankfully decided that he wanted an extra day at home and took another days annual leave, so he was there when I went into labour. DD was in a hurry and we had to go straight to hospital.
