Water retention after bad birth

Hi,

I wondered if anyone had any advice on what can help water retention after birth. I had my LO 8 days ago, after the birth I lost 1 litre of blood and was on IVs for 24 hours. I'm slowly recovering but struggling with moving too much and water retention in hands and face. Any idea? Thanks:)

You need move even if it hurts. Get creative. Even bouncing gently on a maternity ball for 20mins or doing 10-15mins of yoga stretches counts. Also review your diet and try to limit salt while you aren’t able to move normally. I am presuming you’ve been tested for preclampsia though.
