Has anyone had acupuncture close to labour or used it as a method of inducing labour naturally?

I had acupuncture 24hrs before I went into labour. I want to preface this though with the fact that I was already almost 2 weeks overdue. I'm not usually one for alternative medicine however at that stage I was ready to try anything. Maybe it worked, maybe she was just fully cooked and ready to come out.

Best of luck

Yes. I was induced with my first and desperate to avoid induction with second (GDM meant I wasn’t allowed to go over 40 weeks). I went to see someone with great reviews for helping pregnant women and started having it from around 35 weeks. From what I remember I think I had it once at 35 weeks, once at 37 then the plan was twice weekly from 38 weeks. I went into labour the morning after my third or fourth session, at 38+4. Obviously I can’t prove that was what helped things along, but I certainly believe it was.
