How many times can induction be cancelled?

I was scheduled for an induction when I reached full term due to my own health.
It’s been cancelled consecutively for 2 days on the row due to hospital being too busy.
I appreciate safety comes before everything, but if this has been booked in by consultant for clear reasons can it keep being pushed back?
It’s making me feel stressed, frustrated, deflated and a whole range of emotions when you mentally prepare for something which then doesn’t happen. :-(

Unfortunately I have friends who have been in for 4/5 days waiting for supposedly essential inductions. Emergencies are understandable but frustrating when you just could’ve been at home

It is frustrating but the Consultant on each day (not necessarily yours) will be risk assessing you along with the other women awaiting induction or who are inpatients, and at the moment, they are deemed a higher risk. Hopefully you'll hear soon.

You have to have more care and monitoring with induction do its not about the consultants only, but midwives availability. If loads of spontaneous deliveries come in plus emergency c sections there just isnt enough staff to start your induction

Sucks i know, been in your position myself

Luckily I’m at home and not waiting in the hospital.
This is my first baby so everything is brand new to me

The consultant will risk assess not bringing you in every day. Chances are they have already factored delays into your risk assessment and may have asked you to come in earlier than required to prod you into chasing up.

Ask about whether you can deliver at another hospital? I was given the option to have it sooner at a further away hospital.
