Help me prep for scheduled c section friday

I'll be having my second dc on friday by scheduled c section. Had a protracted and difficult delivery with dc1 which ended in emcs, so my obstetrician wants to get this one out a bit early as it's back to back and not engaged at 38w.

This is obviously a little different to the first time given i know what's coming, but I can't remember what I need, any helpful tips would be great please!

I'll be fasting from midnight as my surgery is booked for 7.30am. I'll be in hospital for 4-5 nights.

Some questions:

  • What did you pack that was particularly useful?
  • What should i eat for my dinner the night before È›o ease the first bm?

My bag has:

  • maternity pads plus tena lady pants things similar to the ones i used last time
  • nursing bras, nursing pads, nipple cream, nursing pillow
  • comfy clothes that i can feed in that will sit over my scar (mat ones)
  • nighty that opens and dressing gown
  • flip flops
  • phone charger
  • toiletries
  • snacks - breakfast cereal and muesli bars
  • baby clothes, nappies, cotton wool, muslins
  • water bottle

Thanks all, much appreciated
