Anxious about birth

I'm due my 5th child next week and I have no idea why but I am so anxious about the birth! Is this normal? I have had good births in the past ( well as good as a birth can be ) but i haven't had any traumatic experiences. I keep having nightmares that I'm going to need a c section!

I think that's completely understandable to be fair. You've had four good experiences so I think it's just human nature to anticipate that your 'luck' must be up. I'd be the same and many other women would be too :)

Well a section isn’t the end of the world, OP, even if you did need one!
I’ve anaesthetised hundreds of women for them (usually under spinal, so they’re awake to see the baby) - and they were all just as delighted with their new arrivals as mums having vaginal deliveries.
If anything, they’re less traumatic, since the pain is completely blocked and the delivery is in a quiet, controlled manner.
I think it’s normal for all of us to feel a bit of anxiety pre birth, but trust your obstetric team to look after you and do whatever is necessary.
Best wishes, and I’m sure all will go well!
