How early can you be induced

I'm wondering what's the earliest the doctors will think about induction. And what were the reasons for them inducing?

They induce you when it's necessary. My cousin was induced at 25 weeks because she had hellp syndrom. She would have died if they didn't. It was a gamble if the baby would survive (he did).

Why do you ask?

I also know of an ex colleague who got induced at 16 weeks to let the baby die because she had leukemia and needed treatment or they both would die.

(That should have been an ex colleagues wife)

@cranstonmanor that's awful Sad

OP is it a full term, low risk pregnancy? It depends on the hospital. Mine would have induced at 41+5. Luckily I went into labour at 41+3!

I'm 35+4 I'm really struggling to look after my 2year old. I have siactica spd. The pains getting unbearable. I also have a connective tissue disorder which is making all of it worse. I've been gagging all morning off the pain and it's making me feel so sick and dizzy. I'm going in to the hospital at 10.30. Don't want to have the baby yet but also don't know how I'm meant to cope it's getting to much

Hiya! I'm the same, have unbearable SPD, the pain is killing me and i can't even lift my own legs, ive been in and out of hospital for my whole pregnancy for various reasons, I've been begging for the hospital to induce me since 38 weeks (they estimated baby at 8lb 6oz at that point so a good weight) but they refuse to induce me at all until 41 weeks, they said that "pain and discomfort doesn't justify an induction" however they've started doing regular sweeps to try and get things moving, you can request weekly sweeps from your midwife! And ask to be referred to physiotherapist for the SPD, Good luck and I hope you don't have too much pain ☺️❤️
