Can postpartum Hemorrhoids feel like labour pushing pains?

Hi, sorry about the grim subject, but has anyone felt strong pushing pains postpartum (rectum), just before passing wind or going to the toilet? I am 2 weeks postpartum and have been fine, but today I felt like going through labour just because of a bowel movement. Is it likely to just be Hemorrhoids?

Solidarity, OP. Your body does weird and wonderful things, post-birth. Some less wonderful than others.

Bumping this in hopes someone who's experienced the same will be along soon, but in the meantime, maybe mention it to your midwife team and see if they can offer any advice too?

Could be piles. Also your uterus is still involuting back to normal pre pregnancy state and muscle spasms/contractions helping with that can affect the back passage. Especially when the rectum is full as a full rectum can displace the uterus a bit which then fights harder to involute. But yes, definitely tell someone tomorrow.
