Maternity pads

Hey just wondering what maternity pads everyone found most comfortable?
I read online that Kotex night time sanitary towels are just as good as maternity has anyone tried these?
Eventually getting around to organising my hospital bag 😂

I'd get proper maternity pads for the first week or so. I got some really good ones on Amazon, mothercare slim ones were also good.

I also found the tena lady pants to be brilliant in the first few days!

Not particularly glamorous, but my midwife recommended buying incontinence pants rather than maternity pads for the first few weeks and I'm really glad I did! Can't remember the brand, but think I just ordered them from Amazon

Boots maternity pads are ace they are super thick and long and feel like a cushion to sit on at first.

I used Boots and Tesco mat pads and they were both fine.
I did try slimmer sanitary pads but the MW advised using the proper pads, because she said the other types often have chemicals in which can react with any stitches you may have (I have had minor tears both times and required a couple both times) and cause them to dissolve prematurely.

Boots - the thick ones. Get big pants so you can where two at the same time. They also do slim ones which are good for later, they’re not scented or anything like normal pads so less likely to irritate sore areas and stitches.

I used Boots slim maternity pads and they were great - did not leak at all. MW tut-tutted and tried to get me in the thick ones but frankly the thin ones were way more comfortable and were not full of chemicals despite what someone said upthread. And yes i had stitches (lots)

My understanding is that the slimmer maternity specific pads don't have chemicals that could cause issues with stitches so are fine. It's standard sanitary towels that aren't recommended.

Another vote for incontinence pants.
I had no clue whatsoever and took some regular towels to hospital. Came back from cs in adult pullups and continued using them for at least a week.

Boots Thick ones first and then the slim ones for later. Very comfortable.
