Hi There!

Does anyone know of any hospital in the North East that offers private (paid for) c sections please? I've scoured the net but can't seem to find one.

Appreciate your help where poss!

Thanks :-) xx

I know 3 in London but that’s not helpful! Fingers crossed you find one.

It might need to be London at this rate :-)

What's wrong with the NHS?

When I looked 2 years ago you can'y get private c sections outside of London/ south east. Someone recently said they were having one at Liverpool womens (I know North West but, still North!) but I think they may have been mistaken.

They don't guarantee elective c sections anymore... so many stories of women being refused last minute, despite the birthing plan. Too much of a risk for me as I'm completely tokophobic.

I'm also in the NE and interested to know which hospital couldn't guarantee you a planned section?

I had one at the RVI at the beginning of the month and they were even flexible on dates etc.

Nope they are all down south. Not sure about Scotland?

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 11/08/2019 11:04

Surely with an elective theybook you in in advance of the due date to prevent it being too late?

Rachae · 11/08/2019 11:19

Yea I'm not 100% but what I've read and been advised is worrying. Of course, a lot of women who elect will get it. But more and more cases are coming up that they are being denied when booked in.. because of staffing issues and they refuse. My doctor even commented and said if I need guarantee then private is the only way.

Can you ask your mw/doc to make a suggestion on where would take a private delivery in your area?
