How long for tummy button to go back in ??!

Belly button popped out BIG style wih DS2 born 4 weeks ago. Had expected it to go in a bit by now as it did with DS1 by this stage but it is still huge and really ugly. Slightly tender to touch too. Anyone know when / if it will go back to an 'innie' ?!

Can't quite remember when mine went back in but it did! Sorry not much help but I don't think you will be stuck like that forever

If it's not gone by your 6 week check - ask your doc. My friend had a hernia on her belly button that looked like an "outtie".

hmm, was thinking it might be a hernia. Just looked on the web and there are some pictures of belly button hernias which are remarkably like mine. YUK, not sure what they will do if it is one.

dd is 15 months and my belly button is still sad and drooping.

My friend was told they would not do anything unless she knew she didn't want any more children.
She chose to go ahead and they did a small op to remove - very quick 1 day, recovered in a couple of weeks - now all fine and only a small scar to remind her.
