I’m on my 2nd DS and was due on the 8th and feeling very fed up!!

I had a sweep on Thursday and thought it was working. I didn’t have a bloody show or any mucus but was having consistent contractions but never sped up past 7 mins and then completely stopped.

Due another sweep on Wednesday and then will be booked in to be induced on Saturday.

I really thought this baby was gonna be early, definitely wasn’t expecting this! Finding it so hard with all the phone calls from family and friends. I feel like I can’t go anywhere just in case. I’m tired but DH wants me up and moving because he thinks that’s the only way labour is gonna start 🙄

Same! Was due on the 9th and as of today, not a bean! Midwife attempted a sweep bang on 40weeks but apparently i was 'closed for business' and she couldn't perform it, and now I'm sick of sitting around and eating biscuits whilst DH is at work! I hope things move along for you soon x

Hi @Lubilu28 I was also due on the 8th with DC2. Still nothing! Very similar experiences as you so far and I'm booked in on Saturday if nothing happens. Wanted to avoid induction this time as I was induced with DC1, but starting to think this child may also have to be pulled out with the drugs! Good luck

I am 3 days over due . Last midwife appointment was when I was 38 weeks no offered me another one until I am 41 weeks no sweep for me offered

Now a week over. Think maybe my body just doesn't know what to do. First child was induced also!

Just a little update, the sweep was a success!!
I have a feeling that it had put me in a very slow early labour as DS was in a posterior position. First contraction at 10.38pm Saturday night and he was born at 1.22am Sunday after just two pushes. 🙌

Baby girl arrived this morning! Mad experience! But so much quicker.

kittlesticks I didn’t believe them when they said second baby’s can be quicker 😳 better experience than my first tho by far x
