Low cervix 7 weeks post partum

Hello everyone,

I gave birth to my little girl 7 weeks ago. It was a long labour which ended in forceps and episiotomy.
I finally plucked up the courage to feel inside yesterday and noticed my cervix is especially low down. It is probably 2 inches from the entrance of my vagina. Is this normal? Will it get better?

Thank you

No idea if it's normal but I had a c-section 8 weeks ago and mine is the same! Extremely low and open x

@x.june88 interesting you have the same, owing to the fact you had a c section and not vaginal birth. Did you push at all? I assumed mine was from all the bearing down?

Yeah did 23 hours and 10cm x

Wow bless you - that sounds rough. Maybe it is from the bearing down then? I wonder if it will go back :-/

I'm currently having my first period so will update you if it moves afterwards! X

Mine was the same. I’m not sure if it’s normal or if it’s actually a slight prolapse, which is what I suspect I had having since read about it on MN. I felt for ages like something was going to fall out Blush. I’m pleased to report that it did go back to normal (I did do my pelvic floors). It might be worth getting the go to check you over because they might be able to refer you to a physio. Women really aren’t given the afterbirth care they need.
