When did you go into labour with a VBAC?

If your first birth was a section, and subsequently you had a VBAC, when did you go into labour?

My first birth was an EMCS at 36+6 after failed inductions and 21 hours of labouring with my twins. Now 39 weeks with a singleton and hoping for a VBAC but I'm getting so miserable now!
Have a section booked at 41 weeks if I don't go into spontaneous labour before then.

I was induced at 39+4 for my VBAC so unhelpful.
Good luck

40+3 all fine Smile I was convinced I'd get whisked into surgery the whole time.

TheCuriousSofa · 22/06/2019 20:54

I had two sections booked, but went into labour spontaneously at 36+5 for the first and 37+4 for the second. (I think I may have commented on one of your other threads. Hope it happens for you soon! Those last few weeks are miserable!)

Passthecherrycoke · 22/06/2019 20:57

I had 2 EMCS but went into spontaneous labour for both, 40+2 and 40+3, with 3 or so days of early labour symptoms before that.

Lots of sympathy, I was totally miserable by the end but I think you do have to expect to go to 40 weeks

Thanks so much for replies!!
I think I'm just being super impatient because I only got to 36+6 last time so every day that's gone by past that date this time seems like a lifetime BlushGrin

39+6 for DS1, 40+1 for DS3, my cycle is obviously in sync with the OB textbooks!

mawbroon · 22/06/2019 23:25

I started contracting on and off right on my due date until ds2 arrived 3 days over

@TrixieFranklin I know what you mean, i am hoping for VBAC this time round too and even though I'm only 39 weeks, because my waters went at 38 with DD I too just counted down to then instead and am now so impatient analysing every twinge and symptom! Everyone keeps saying oo sounds like wont be long when I say about little pains/toilet etc but then I still wake up and go ah dammit still pregnant! Feel like I have a ticking clock held over me with section at 40+10. I was going to avoid any induction and just go for section but doubting that decision now!

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 23/06/2019 21:36

It ended in another section but I went into labour at 38+4 with dc1 and 39 weeks exactly with dc2.

1st baby 40+9 EMCS

2nd baby 40+3 attempted Vbac but went into labour naturally and ended up with C section
