Mucus plug

Had lots of uncomfortable BH through the night that haven't come to much but I've lost a huge amount of mucus plug this morning. No bloody show but a definite plug. I have the mw this morning but unsure if she would examine me to see if things are changing in my cervix or if I'm still going to be DEMENTED waiting with false starts. Only 37+2 but had a ridiculous time of it with false alarms. Anyone else lose their plug like this and things start ramping up soon?

I lost my plug weeks before I went into labour and I also had a bloody show a couple of weeks before I went into labour, unfortunately it doesnt mean anything. When I did go into labour I had no signs and no BH before hand. I started to have contractions 5 minutes apart straight away

I lost my plug overnight on 36+5/6. Contractions started late on 36+6 after a very normal day building furniture, packing the hospital bag and baby was here in the early hours of 37+0. I phoned the hospital overnight at 36+5 when I saw the plug had gone, and they were like "ahh it'll probs be a week or two yet" but didn't offer to examine me or anything as I'd literally just had a scan at my 36 week appointment on 36+5 where I'd been told that I wasn't engaged at all. But then other people lose their plug and nothing happens for weeks... I'd say ensure you're ready, as if we hadn't had that day (it was a Saturday fortunately) then we would have been in a mess as we weren't expecting it to be so early or so fast given it was my first.

Both times I lost plug close to having baby. But it's a bit of a "how long is a bit of string" kind of question, as it can go and grow back so not necessarily a sign of impending labour unfortunately!

I had my baby a couple of weeks ago. I lost my plug the night before I went into labour. I continued to have bloody discharge for the 24 hours before labour as well so I knew things were progressing. Fingers crossed! Good luck! X

Midwife wouldn't even give me an internal today but I've been cramping and losing lots more plug throughout the day. Still no bloody show but it feels like at least something is going on, whether that takes hours days or weeks remains to be seen

I lost my plug for weeks before my due date and I got induced at nearly two weeks overdue.

You still have some time until your due date so I'd just relax and enjoy the time - as hard as it might be...
