C-section infection, how long till you healed?

I had my daughter 7 weeks ago today by unplanned C-section (50-hour labour stalled at 6cm and I told the drip to fuck off 😂). We were in hospital 3 days and recovery was rough.

After taking it easy for first few weeks and being virtually housebound – we have front steps so lifting the pram down is impossible – I started babywearing last week and taking on a lot more chores (lots of bending down to the washing machine and dishwasher, hoovering, etc) and escaping the house. Only now I've developed a staph infection on the wound along with sharp vaginal and pelvic pains. Been told to steer clear of the sling for an undetermined amount of time.

Really want to nip this in the bud and would rather go overboard on resting, letting the house go to shit, and being under house arrest for a few weeks than repeat the mistake of thinking I'm OK then overdoing it and getting ill again. (Also it's no fun being on empty-stomach meds when BF and unable to fuel with cake.) How long til you really, truly healed and got over infection?
