PROM twice -

Not even pregnant for a third time or likely to be for a very long time but it’s playing on my mind a lot.

Both births my water has broken first (at term) and I haven’t gone into labour naturally so rather unpleasant inductions followed.

Does anyone know why this would happen? - in theory, what would have happened naturally? - I assume I would eventually have gone into labour having had little to no waters left for days/weeks ...?- and how risky is this actually?
Would it be remotely likely to have an actual spontaneous labour if you’ve had PROM (and no natural labour) twice? - or maybe I am just somehow susceptible to waters breaking before my body is ready to labour...?

I’ve wondered this. It’s happened to me twice too. Once pre term. 2Nd time induction took so long I ended up with a nasty infection and sepsis in labour! I think it’s put me off any more.

Happened to me 4 times. Twice at term and twice at 35 weeks. Didn't happen with my first baby though.
