Birth after mid cavity forceps with first??

Hi guys
So gave birth 3 months ago, didn't exactly go to plan, he was 2 weeks early, waters broke first so straight to hospital, labour was slow bit fine, got to 8cm dilated with no issues, but then he over rotated in my pelvis and got stuck, ended up having mid cavity forceps, haemmorged and 47 stitches. DS was perfect after 10 minutes, luckily had very good surgeons. I just don't know what to do re having another or not having another or if this means that I'm more likely to have complications with another birth? I know it's early to be thinking of having another one already but it is something I've been stressing about! What are your guys thoughts, experiences? Thanks in advance x

I have had 2 baby's after forceps all all fine

Had low forceps delivery plus episiotomy with my first... Since had two normal deliveries. Had second degree tears both times but easily repaired and healed so much quicker than the epi.

Similar sounding delivery to you. Had lasting damage so opted for a c section with my second. It was amazing.

I had a pretty nasty forceps delivery with, I think, Kielland’s forceps. Not sure if mid/low but I think reasonably high as they broke my coccyx. Anyway, it was horrible, and recovery took months. 23 months later I had a spontaneous water birth. An entirely different experience!

Failed Keilland forceps then manual internal rotation with first. Torn cervix, lots of stitches. Truly horrendous experience.
Last not a stitch, not even a graze.
Second had cord around neck but otherwise uncomplicated.

Horrific forceps birth with first, lots of complications and v.lobg recovery. Opted for elective csec for second but he had other ideas and whizzed out in 1.5hours the old fashioned way with just a few stitches

Had high forceps with DS1 (he was induced and post dates and his heart rate was falling quickly so they needed to get him out) and the tear was nasty: was in theatre for an hour and a half while they stitched me up. DS2 was a 2 hour very straightforward labour with just a tiny tear.

I had a similar delivery to you for my first. DS2 was a much easier process- no forceps and no stitches.

Thanks guys part of me was thinking of c section of I have to go through it again as the recovery was just awful, couldn't move for 2 weeks as I'd lost so much blood o was anaemic and couldn't stand for more then 10 minutes without feeling faint and as they took so long stitching me up ( not complaining they did a cracking job) it tore some muscles in my right leg from being in the stirrups as they had to tilt me to help get him out, so was a bit of a sorry state and still feeling sore in cervix area now? Nice to hear some options!!
