low iron levels and homebirth

I am currently 37 + 5 weeks pregnant with ds3 and hoping for a home birth. I had some bloods taken at 36 weeks which showed my hb level was 9.8. I have been on supplements as low iron levels have been a feature of all my pregnancies and increased my intake so that I could increase my levels to the 10 plus region necessary for a home birth. Anyway - last week more blood taken and low and behold it has dropped again to 9.2. I couldn't believe it. I have done everything in the last 10 days to increase it - taking 3 sachets of spatone every day plus floradix and pregnacare with lots of orange juice, and watching my tea/coffee intake as well.

Bloods are being taken again on Thursday - and really just want to ask if anybody has any experience of this. Have I done enough to increase the levels, and what do I do if levels haven't increased enough and I cannot have a homebirth. BTW I am feeling really well and do not look or feel anemic.

Thanks.

Your comments have def made me feel more hopeful and I realise I need to get up to speed with the information available.
