Vbac after emergency csection

In 2010 I had an emergency csection with my 1st child due to her being breeched. I was already in labour and things did not go to plan meaning the whole thing was very traumatic. 6 attempts at epidural, all failed so I was then put under.
I'm now currently pregnant with baby number 2, my question is how many mothers have had successful vbacs or how many of you weren't able to and had to have another csection?
According to Google I have 40% chance of a successful vbac, which doesnt give me much hope this is due to bmi being slightly over 30.

Hi, I had a section first then a vbac. I really wanted a vbac and was given the choice. They just keep an extra eye on you, I guess.

I can't remember my bmi then but it wasn't low as my skinny days were over!

I also had emcs in 2010, I had a very successful vbac in 2015. I was induced on my due date which was great because there's no pessaries after a section and 4.5hours later hello dd2

I had a VBAC 6 weeks ago. It was great

I had emergency section with DC1, wanted VBAC for DC2, turned out the problem I had with DC1 was the same for DC2, ended up with Ventuse, Extended episiostomy, and manual removal of placenta.
Definitely worth finding out if there was a reason for baby being breech, and chances of it being the same for DC2.

Where did the 40% come from? I thought there was a 75% chance of success if trying for a VBAC. That may well be the headline figure and your 40% is taking into account other specific factors. But 75% is the figure I've seen - and also what the consultant said at my birth choices appointment.

I'm gearing up for vbac, bmi over 30 (but not much) and all the docs play that down a lot, given more like 75% chance.

Breech is quite a good type of previous section to have (iyswim) as unlikely to recur and you can check before labour.
