Hi, just looking for some advice or general reassurance for internal examinations and positions during labour with spd.

I had my first sweep yesterday and the legs up by bum and knees apart position has completely messed my pelvis up! I already had quite bad SPD but was managing having seen an osteo but almost immediately afterwards I could feel a grinding in my pelvis and getting up from sitting was more painful.
Turning over in bed is now more painful and since waking up walking is even worse than it was to the point where I think I would benefit from crutches but I doubt I would get them in the next 2 weeks so not much point speaking to physio.

I've got my next sweep booked in after the weekend and I'm so scared of doing anymore damage but I desperately want to have it done as I'm 40 weeks and no signs of anything happening at the moment!

I'm thinking of trying all fours/leaning on something if possible. I havnt measured the distance I can have my knees apart as it's only really when in bed that I have issues with that so not sure if it will be very helpful. I also wasnt able to attend the physio session on labour positions but I'm under the impression it's best to avoid stirrups.

Any advice or reassurance will be really appreciated!

Not experienced but I should think just talking it over with the midwife would be the best bet? She'll have presumably delivered enough babies to know how women can be accessed from different positions!

Thanks, I'm gonna mention it when I next see them and will definitely be letting them know when I finally go into labour.
I just assumed cause I can sit cross legged and it's ok that I'd be ok with that position, obviously not Sad really dont want to do any permanent damage!
