Induction for small baby..?

If you were induced due to possible small baby, how small was the baby measuring for you to be induced? I'm not quite sure what constitutes as a small baby. I do assume it's different for everyone.

I think it depends on why the baby is measuring small.
DD was monitored throughout the third trimester but ultimately I was induced because the flow through the cord had dropped below a certain percentage. I forget how the consultant described it now but she divided some percentages from the dopplers and the percentage came out as -1% so they induced me.

I’m being induced on Friday at 37 weeks because of this. Baby was on 18th centile for most of my pregnancy then at a scan at 34 weeks had dropped to the 8th and has stayed in or around there ever since. At 36 weeks she was measuring 4lbs14oz.

Her head is below the 5th centile and that seems to be what is concerning doctors more, although they are fairly sure it is just a small baby overall they say they can’t be sure there is no problem until she is born.

It’s been a stressful few weeks and I’m just really
hoping I give birth to a healthy baby this weekend. I hope all goes ok for you too.

I'm having a scan this week too so they can see what's going on!

Dipped to under 10% in last few weeks. Concerned about placenta (although late scans showed no issue). Was induced at 39 weeks. Baby born 5lb, 8oz. All the best to you x

I was induced at 39+3 as baby's growth had slowed right down toward the end, cord and placental function were thought to be fine.
Baby was 6lbs3oz, on the small side bit healthy.

I'm not sure about percentiles but my DD measured small throughout my 3rd trimester. I was set to be induced at 37 weeks but I went into labour and ended up having an EMCS. She was 4lb 12oz at birth but perfectly fine - just small!
