Bizarre nocturnal event

OK, I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this oddness for me.

I am 38+5 and due for an elective section (breech baby) next Tuesday. Last night I woke up with a really tense abdomen (like the BH contractions I've had occasionally but much stronger) and it hurt - it really hurt! It was round my belly and up my back, mainly on my right. I had to get onto all fours for a minute or so then it passed. I thought 'Oh sh*t, this is labour' and waited for another to confirm that it was time to ring the ward and jump in the car - but nothing else happened - just a single big contraction (I think!). I got back to sleep and woke up as normal this morning. Baby's been quiet today but a little movement.

I'm seeing the MW later this week anyway, but does anyone have any suggestions as to what my crazy insides are up to?!

lol, maybe baby was turning round

could be baby turning.... hence intense sensations on one side....

if this is so, MW will be able to tell you

if not, then it is just one of those odd pregnancy things !

Ahahahahahahah, I wish! Definitely not turned, I've become familiar enough with this skull bumping around to know it's in the same position!

Must just be a weird thing. Why can't babies read the textbooks?! Thanks folks
