Elective section Tuesday - contractions for 5 hours

Im 37+2 and I'm booked for elective section on Tuesday, Woke this morning with strong pains, they've carried on for a further 5 hours, roughly every 5-8 mins lasting from 40secs to 1 min long. They seem to have tailed off now to more Braxton hicks, haven't called triage as wanted to see if they got stronger etc. Is it likely they'll start again you think? Not lost plug or anything.

Maybe just call and ask for advice they will know best. Are you still having the pains?

I had similar with DD2 from about 36 weeks. They turned out to be Braxton hicks. But they can feel very strong and go on for ages. You also tend to feel them lower down in your tummy, real ones are higher (so I was told!!).
I would Keep a close eye on them and call triage if they continue.

Pains completely gone now, was sure it was labour (my 3rd pregnancy). Thanks ladies, I e not long to wait now anyway
