Waiting induction

I should have been induced on Tuesday but they are too busy to do it at the hospital so now I have to go to the hospital every day for monitoring until they can do it. Anybody else had similar experiences? It’s driving me insane as I hate not knowing what’s happening. I know if I went into labour naturally I wouldn’t know but because I’ve always known it would be a planned induction due to medical reasons I just never thought I’d be in this situation.

Thank you. I’ve been at the hospital all day getting monitored but they still can’t induce and have said it won’t be this weekend. Waiting to see someone else. I’d just rather know the plan.

Do you have the option of going to another hospital? Feel for you x

This was exactly what happened to me; I went in on a Wednesday expecting to be induced as planned but was sent home that afternoon as there weren't any beds, back on the Thursday, then the Friday, and I was then given the option to stay in and wait as I was getting anxious (the induction was planned due to an increasing risk of infection). I was finally induced on the Sunday evening and gave birth on the Monday. On the Sunday they started looking at moving me to another hospital but it was looking like it would have to be several hours away.
If you have concerns I would ask about staying in as at least you can be constantly monitored then, and they can fit you in as soon as a bed becomes available. It's obviously irritating but I appreciate it just be an epic juggling job fitting everyone in when it is busy. Fingers crossed for you!
