Tbh at mine all he did was ask if I was feeling ok. I did get my tear checked as I was worried it wasn't healing but it wouldn't have been done 'as standard' at my docs.

gp just asked if i was ok, then if dd was ok. he did some checks on dd's joints/strength/hips, standard stuff. then dd got her 1st vaccinations. he didn't check me at all, but then i only had a couple of stitches and an uncomplicated birth.

Doc just asked if it was ok. He wouldn't have had a look but I said I wasn't sure it was healing properly. He then said he'd check it for me. I doubt your doc would look if you're not having any problems and you could always refuse.

In my experience, gp just asked if all was OK and unless I mentioned anything that was it! Contraception is likely to be mentioned and unless you ask for a check for any particular reason you're not likely to get an internal, afaik.

I always found 6 weeks checkups to be a waste of time.....

I take it sex is OK, there's no symptoms of any infection, you've no problems you need to ask about... baby is OK.... you're taking it easy and giving your body a chance to recover.... are you managing to cope OK, any signs of depression?... If all is OK then great!

Enjoy your baby!
