Lochia or period?

DD is 7 weeks and 4 days old.

I had bleeding until she was 6 weeks then it went. Today I went to the loo and wiped (TMI sorry!) there was blood.

I express milk 2/3 times a day although this is decreasing so I assume it’s my period that’s returned?

It's hard to say. Sometimes the lochia can stop then start again, although at 7 weeks pp that's perhaps more unlikely? You'll probably only know if it stops in a few days and comes back next month. Sorry, I'm not proving to be very helpful here

I think it is a period as it’s lasted 3 days. Feels like a period.

I only stopped bleeding from lochia a week and a half ago. Mother Nature wastes no time.

I'd say period.
I stopped pp bleeding at 5 weeks.
Just over 6 weeks pp I had my first period been regular as clockwork since. I ebf, and continue to bf at 2 years.
Its rubbish.

Usually period comes back after weaning onto solids of breast feeding
