(Yet another) Infection after c-section

Hi all. I had an emergency c-section 12 weeks ago, and have just been to the doctors after realising I have got yet another infection in my 'scar'. This is my third one to date and I was wondering if this is common and if I should be on the look out for anything else?
I had 1 infection with my last c-section, but this one was left to heal by itself, no antibiotics or dressings. This will be my third lot of antibiotics in 12 weeks.
Is there anything I can do to help it along?

I am being tested for diabetes next week as there may be a link there, but the doctor thinks it's because of the way the skin hangs (yuck), it doesn't get enough air. It's really got to me this time, I thought I was over it.

I had an infection after my last c-section. Thing is it was a fungal infection which you can only treat with a cream and not antibiotics.

Has a dr actually seen it? (I ask because a lot will just prescribe antibiotics over the phone). Also have they taken a swab to determine what type of infection it is and what antibiotics will be needed to treat it?

The only advice for helping it along is to keep it really clean, pat it dry after bath/shower or use a hairdryer on a cool setting to dry it. Also make sure you are eating well so your body is at it's best to fight the infection.

Yes canmummy, they have taken a swab each time, so they know they are treating it with the right antibiotics. When I get out of the shower, I lay flat with the skin pulled up and let it air dry. I suppose I should take a look at my diet really, it isn't great. Thanx

It seems that it comes back when I stop using dressings. I suppose its because they absorb everything. It makes me reluctant to stop using them. Also, I can't seem to find any dressings from a pharmacy like the ones that the doctors give me, and I hate to keep asking for them.
