Prolapse - second baby?

Has anyone had a second child vaginally after suffering a prolapse with their first?

I'm pregnant again and bricking it. My prolapse is quite a bit better than it was but still not 100%. I have worked so hard to get the improvements that I have and I am so scared that it will all be for nothing and that in fact next time I will end up with a worse one that won't respond to exercises.

How much worse will another vaginal birth make it? I think about requesting an elcs but then I feel like maybe I am being a drama queen because surely other people have managed.

Help pls Sad

I am in a similar situation. My physio says evidence suggests second vaginal delivery shouldn't make it worse, the damage would probably be done by pregnancy itself! But if you work on your exercises and are careful with lifting etc you should be fine. In two minds myself about whether to request elcs, not due prolapse, just didn't have a great birth. You can still make the choice.

I had prolapse with dd1. 2 years later i had dd2 by elcs. It was a severe prolapse which later needed surgery so it was recommended i had elcs. Another vaginal birth would risk it getting worse. Great option for me!
